Brian Don Bolton

December 19, 1962 ~ April 6, 2020 (age 57)

Obituary

Brian Don Bolton, age 57, of San Antonio, Texas passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at his home.  Brian was born on December 19, 1962 in El Paso, Texas to Don Ray and Janice LaNelle Wright Bolton.

Growing up, Brian was always happy....some would say mischievous, a trait that he carried throughout his life. His laughter and humor were infectious and he was often the life of the party. He had a deep love of family and enjoyed spending time with those closest to him.

He loved swimming and swam competitively throughout high school. He also worked as a lifeguard and coached numerous swim teams.

Brian worked much of his life in the hospitality industry, from waiting tables to managing restaurants. He had an easy way of communicating with people and offering great service.  Later in life, Brian returned to school and earned a certificate in medical sonography. His hope was to serve people with care and compassion through this new career.

Brian loved God and attended church from the time he was born, most recently attending Community Bible Church in San Antonio.  Brian was well versed in the Bible and was honored to be called on to lead and teach from time to time.  One of his proudest accomplishments came from the time he spent as a leader for Celebrate Recovery where he was able to use his own life lessons to help encourage others who were seeking solutions and change.

Those who knew Brian well will always remember him for the love he had for life and people, but especially his love for his beloved bride, Kathy.  Brian’s smile was never brighter than when he was able to spend time with her, proudly showing her off to the world.

Brian loved to cook and was a talented chef. He was a proud Texan and loved his Dallas Cowboys. Brian had a brillant mind and enjoyed conquering all kinds of challenges. His love of life and his sincere heart for people will be forever missed in a world where men like him are hard to find.

Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy, of San Antonio, Texas; mother,  Janice Bolton of El Paso, Texas; sisters, Brenda Bolton Trimble, and husband Craig, of Arlington, Texas; Betty Bolton Todd, and husband Richard, of El Paso, Texas; and Barbara Bolton LaRocca, and husband Roch, of Peachtree City, Georgia; brother, Brent Bolton of Gratis, Ohio. He leaves behind two uncles, two aunts, eight cousins, twelve nieces and nephews and sixteen great-nieces and nephews as well as countless friends he made throughout his life.
