Danni’Lynn Rodriguez, age 6, of San Antonio, passed away peacefully in the late evening hours of Monday, April 20, 2020 at her home, with her beloved family by her side. Danni’Lynn was born a New Year’s Baby on January 1, 2014 to Ruby Monique Barrera and Daniel Rodriguez III.
Danni’Lynn was full of life – a toddler who was into everything but had a smile to get her out of most of the trouble she found herself in. As a young child, she learned how to make people laugh with a funny gesture or something she would say. Danni’Lynn lived life to the fullest and loved all she was able to explore. Over the past year, cancer took her abilities but never her spirit or love for those around her.
Danni’Lynn attended kindergarten at Barkley Ruiz Elementary School where making friends came naturally to her. She was often the light of the room and the center of attention. Danni’Lynn was a young girl who loved everything most do – mermaids and unicorns, pink, purple and blue, Disney cartoons and life – but unlike other 6-year-old little girls, Danni’Lynn was forced to fight cancer all while entertaining the world around her with her laughter and love.
Danni’Lynn is survived by her mother and stepfather, Ruby Monique Barerra and Jose Ramos, Jr.; father, Daniel Rodriguez III; siblings, Khalia Vae Rodriguez, Malanniia Dollynn Rodriguez, and Jhovanni Amir Ramos; grandparents, Roger Barerra, Sandra Castro and Elizabeth Maldonado; great-grandmothers, Julia Castro, Maria Rodriguez and Esther Zapata; aunts, Chloe Rodriguez, MiKayla Rodriguez, and husband Manuel Quintero; uncles, Dylan Rodriguez, and wife Annabelle Martinez, Roger Barrera Jr., and wife Leonore Barerra, Rudy Barerra, Joel Barerra, and William Zapata, Jr.; great-aunts, Rosisela Martinez, and husband Ruben Mata, Veronica Rodriguez, and husband Ruben Rodriguez, Cristina Cabellero, and husband Joe Anthony Cabellero, Maria Castro, and husband Albert Leal, Eloisa Barerra, Mary Esther Hernandez, and Jackie Rodriguez, and husband Julian Corpus; great-uncles, Jose Castro, Marcos Castro, and Jose Barerra; and by a host of cousins and other relatives and friends,
She was preceded in death by one grandfather, Daniel Rodriguez, Jr.
