Leonard June Phillips

Leonard June Phillips of San Antonio, Texas went to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the age of 87 years.  He was born in Clarksville, Texas on May 24, 1935, to Delbert W. Phillips and Eunice C. Ward Phillips.  He married Wanda J Quick on December 2, 1956, and to that union, four children were born.  

He worked hard all his life and even after retirement continued to find odd jobs to keep him busy.  He loved to fish and would look for any opportunity to drop the boat in the water.  When he wasn’t fishing, he was counting down the days to hunting season.  He loved to explore the open roads and would often do so with his animal co-pilot traveling long distances visiting family and friends.  He never met a stranger and could start up a conversation with anyone. 

He is survived by his children Brad Phillips, Bart Phillips (Norma), Brandon Phillips (Carla) and Lisa Pierce (John);sixteen grandchildren Justin Phillips (Amber), Bari Sheldon (Sean), Elizabeth Eisenhauer (Shawn), Kristi Skinner, Joshua Phillips (Monica), Blaine Phillips (Amber), Marshall Phillips (Krysta), Seth Pierce, Logan Pierce, Jocelyn Pierce; sixteengreat grandchildren Turner Phillips, Kendalynn Wills (Corey), McKenna Sheldon, Kadence Sheldon, Dominic Sheldon, Gemma Sheldon, Maisie Sheldon, Trevor Hayden Ashley Maxey (Joshua),Kayla Eisenhauer, Kenzie Bowman, Rayne Phillips, Remi Phillips, Gunnar Smith; 2 great, great grandchildren Dallas Wills and Aubree Maxey.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife.
