Patrick Kelley

Patrick Edgar Kelley, age 72, of Schertz, passed in the mid-evening hours of Friday, January 15, 2021 at Northeast Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.  Patrick was born on January 7, 1949 in Covington, Kentucky to the late Lloyd Allen and Doris Mae Hickman Kelley.

Patrick married the love of his life and his best friend, Janelle Reitzer, on March 15, 1974 in San Antonio.  Together they spent more than 46 years raising a family and living a lifetime of memories.

Patrick was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and horses.  He enjoyed working on old trucks and bringing them back to their original glory.  Patrick was a dedicated man – to his family, his work and his faith.  He was a heavy machinery mechanic, last working for Holt Machinery, and a deacon at his church. Patrick taught by example and leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love and faithfulness that will live on for generations.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Janelle; children, Lianne Biegay of Pearland, Dane Bower of Schertz, and Casey Kelley of Schertz; siblings, Timothy W. Kelley, and wife Carolyn, of Converse, Terry Lynn Kelley, and wife Linda, of Atkins, Clarence Lewis Kelley, and wife Tarla, of Pleasanton, Lloyd Allen Kelley, Jr., and wife Pam, of Atkins, and John T. Kelley, and wife Denise, of Stockdale; grandchildren, Christopher Biegay and Gwendylan Pusateri, and husband Brandon; great-grandchildren, Haley Biegay and Dane Pusateri; great-granddaughter-to be in May 2021, Holly Pusateri; and by a host of other relatives and very special friends.

Patrick was preceded in death by one son, Billy Wayne Kelley, and by one brother, Michael Allen Kelley.
