Ramiro Rodriguez Jr.

January 13, 1951 ~ November 3, 2020 (age 69)

On Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020, Ramiro Rodriguez Jr., loving husband, father, and
grandfather passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 69 in San Antonio,
TX. Ramiro was preceded by his father, Ramiro M. Rodriguez, and his mother, Guadalupe F.
Rodriguez. Ramiro is survived by his wife, Marina Rodriguez, his six children, Ramiro Rodriguez
III (Rebecca Rodriguez), Monica Rodriguez, Ricardo Rodriguez (Shannon Priesler), Ruben
Rodriguez, Rolando Rodriguez (Lenaida Rodriguez), Marisa Rodriguez, and his three
grandchildren Eden Preisler, Aurora Rodriguez, and Landon Rodriguez. Ramiro is also survived
by his four brothers, four sisters, and their spouses.

Ramiro was born in Eagle Pass, TX on January 13, 1951. Ramiro graduated from Moorhead
High School in 1969 and went on to receive his diesel mechanic certificate at Moorhead
Vocational Technical School in Moorhead, Minnesota. Ramiro was characterized as a man of
great faith, being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a
two-year mission in the Arizona Tempe mission from 1976-1978. On May 25, 1978, Ramiro
married his sweetheart, Marina Edith Zamarripa in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Together they
raised their four sons and two daughters.

Ramiro was an owner-operator truck driver, starting at the age of 13 when he delivered a load of
onions almost 400 miles away for his dad… ensuring he collected all that was due when the
vendor tried to shortchange him. Ramiro loved being on the road traveling across the United
States, whether it was in one of his trucks or on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Ramiro was beloved by his wife, children, grandchildren, parents, brothers, sisters, nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. As much as he was loved, he showed his boundless love
for others by being willing to help anyone out in need and having a nickname, song, or quote for
everyone he knew. Ramiro will be remembered as a hard worker, the life of the party,
quick-witted, and forgiving.

Ramiro was cared for by his wife and children for almost 20 years after retiring from his trucking
career. Marina, the love of his life and better half, lovingly cared for him until his final days.
Ramiro loved Marina fiercely, counting her as his greatest blessing; their love for each other
transcends this earthly state and they know they will be together again. His spirit will live on
through his family and we are grateful for the knowledge of eternal families and look forward to
the day we will be with him again.
