Roger Hernandez

Roger Hernandez, of San Antonio, passed away at the young age of 47 on Thursday, January 7, 2021. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on September 4, 1973 and was the beloved son of Elena Jimenez.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ofelia and Candelario Martinez; aunts, Mary Jane Rios, Rosa Martinez; and uncles, Candelario Martinez Jr., Robert Martinez.

Survivors include his uncle, Richard Martinez and wife Sally; aunt, Angie Casarez; mother, Elaine Jimenez; brother, Joe Jimenez wife Helen.

Roger was a very loving, caring person who would take the shirt off his back and give to all that needed his help. Roger was the life of the party, we always knew when he arrived by hearing, “WHOOP-WHOOP!” Roger will forever be missed. Although he had no wife, nor children, Roger took care of ours like his own, with a tremendous amount of unconditional love. Any time we needed Roger he was always there, whether if it was to work on our homes or just to speak to. Roger was a great Primo to have nice cold ones, especially when it had to do with BBQ.

The Visitation will be held at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Saturday, January 16, 2021 and will begin at 10:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. and the Burial will be held, directly after, at the Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
