Rosa Beckman

December 13, 1940 — July 25, 2020

Rosa Elva Beckman, age 79, of San Antonio, passed away in the early afternoon hours of Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio.  Rosa was born on December 13, 1940 in Muzquiz, Mexico to the late Manuel De la Rosa and Paula Vallejo.

Rosa was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to many.  She had a hard work ethic that pushed her to provide the best she could for her beloved family.  Rosa was strong willed and never gave up on her goal or into her failures.  In her free time, Rosa loved to visit various flea markets where she was a bargain shopper who could talk her way into the best Deals.  Rosa was a strong Christian woman who enjoyed attending church.

Those who knew Rosa best will remember her beautiful smile and the love she had for her family.  She leaves behind a legacy that will on in the hearts of those she knew and loved.

Rosa is survived by seven children, Maricela Rosales of San Antonio, Julian Rosales of Wisconsin, Evelia Bernal, and husband Carlos, of San Antonio, Irma Gonzalez, and husband Armando, of San Antonio, Graciela Bravo of San Antonio, Isabel Infante, and husband Jesus, of Falfurrias, and Jorge Rosales, and wife Kathy, of San Antonio; siblings, Juan De la Rosa, Luzelena De la Rosa, and Heliodoro De la Rosa, all of Mexico, and Paula De la Rosa of Bryan, Texas; and by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and very special friends.

Rosa was also preceded in death by her son, Santos Rosales, and her brother Ramiro De la Rosa

Funeral services for Rosa Beckman will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 31, 2020 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held Thursday evening, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.

Rosa Elva Beckman, de 79 años, de San Antonio, falleció en las primeras horas de la tarde del sábado 25 de julio de 2020 en el Baptist Medical Center en San Antonio. Rosa nació el 13 de diciembre de 1940 en Muzquiz, México, hija de Manuel De la Rosa y Paula Vallejo.

Rosa era una madre amorosa, abuela y amiga para muchos. Tenía una ética de trabajo duro que la empujó a proporcionar lo mejor que pudo para su amada familia. Rosa tenía una fuerte voluntad y nunca abandonó su objetivo ni sus fracasos. En su tiempo libre, a Rosa le encantaba visitar varios mercados de pulgas donde era una compradora de gangas que podía llegar a las mejores ofertas. Rosa era una mujer cristiana fuerte que disfrutaba asistir a la iglesia.

Aquellos que conocieron mejor a Rosa recordarán su hermosa sonrisa y el amor que sentía por su familia. Ella deja un legado que seguirá en los corazones de aquellos que conocía y amaba.

A Rosa le sobreviven siete hijos, Maricela Rosales de San Antonio, Julian Rosales de Wisconsin, Evelia Bernal y su esposo Carlos, de San Antonio, Irma González, y su esposo Armando, de San Antonio, Graciela Bravo de San Antonio, Isabel Infante, y esposo Jesús, de Falfurrias, y Jorge Rosales, y esposa Kathy, de San Antonio; hermanos, Juan De la Rosa, Luzelena De la Rosa y Heliodoro De la Rosa, todos de México, y Paula De la Rosa de Bryan, Texas; y por una gran cantidad de nietos, bisnietos, tataranietos y otros parientes y amigos muy especiales.

Rosa también fue precedida en la muerte por su hijo, Santos Rosales, y su hermano Ramiro De la Rosa

Los servicios funerarios para Rosa Beckman se llevarán a cabo a las 10:00 a.m., el viernes 31 de julio de 2020 en Chapel Hill Funeral Home. El entierro seguirá en Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Las visitas se llevarán a cabo el jueves por la noche, de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m., en la funeraria.
