Xavier Gomez

Xavier Gomez of San Antonio, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the age of 39. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 24, 1980 to Norma G. (Ibarra) and Mariano Gomez.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Francisca and Carlos Gomez; as well as maternal grandparents, Emma Rosa and Eduardo Ibarra.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Yohana N. Taveras; children, Eryca Clementine Gomez and Sabastian Donatello Gomez; parents; siblings, Jorge Gomez and wife Kimberly, and Gerardo Gomez; 11 nieces and nephews; a host of in-laws; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Xavier enjoyed all sports, especially watching football and wrestling. He had a great passion for reading literature and enjoyed all types of music. He loved his cat, Othello and his dog, Pete. His family will always remember him as a funny and entertaining type of guy. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

A Visitation will be held at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to be held at 6:00 p.m.
